Thats a shame. The rubber bit of the standard ones seem OK it's just that they start coming off the steel backing when it starts to rust.

Steel used in whatever parts you buy to service your car is designed to last few years if car stays in garage. I have those on our rally car 3 years of abuse now and nothing wrong with them. Steel is very good quality, we designed them for 10 years life span - In British weather where your winter is "silly" they will last longer.

Uploaded some of pics of rear axle on our 940. Car is used on track as well as it messes with public traffic in all weather conditions.

You will need to email Peter, silver.user(at)gmail.com or look up Retroturbo on facebook. Since he has been banned for trading I'm not sure he will see your message here.
Shame really as he can supply some great products for our cars without having to pay extortionate shipping/duty when buying from US suppliers like IPD.
I have ordered quite a few parts from him now with no problems.
