  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way
  • AOL Customers: Make sure you check the 'Remember me' check box otherwise the AOL system may log you out during the session. This is a known issue with AOL.
  • AOL, Yahoo and Plus.net users. Forum owners such as us are finding that AOL, Yahoo and Plus.net are blocking a lot of email generated from forums. This may mean your registration activation and other emails will not get to you, or they may appear in your spam mailbox

Updated my Tunein and now it will not work, says update available and when you check the updates it is not there. Go to apps and the uninstall button for it is greyed out. Tried different connections. Looks like we will have to wait until a new update is out.

App updates have been causing problems for months now. It's really not good enough.

Can i ask a stupid question - is Tunein free using Volvo's VOC SIM, or do you need your own sim & data to use it?

You use your own sim. You could use the one that fits in the boot [I have a 3 sim in there] or you can use the mobile phone plan and connect the car through the phone's hotspot wifi feature. Either way it uses your data but if you don't get near to using your phone's data allowance every month, that is the way to go.

It seems that to get the best out of the app you need to have an account with them, which you can set up on a tablet or home computer. I can't advise on what advantage that gives because I haven't got round to playing with it yet.

I would suggest you keep repeating the previously outlined steps.You may have to try up to a dozen times before you get the uninstall option. Good luck.

I tried to use TuneIn today and got the update message. As with other people's experience, I did the update but it then said there was an update available even though I'd just updated it. Went to Download Centre and there were no updates available even though there'd been 6 of them a few minutes before. Uninstall was greyed out too.

After several ignition on/offs and locking/unlocking the car, the update re-appeared and installed okay. There are several other updates available (including Volvo ID) but I'm reluctant to try installing them.

Volvo have only one Sensus platform on 90 Series cars (with a well defined h/w and s/w set) to get working reliably. It really shouldn't be this difficult for them or us.
