ignition fob receiver
When I press the engine stop button and then press the fob, it should eject but recently with increasing frequency it will not eject. If I then press the start button and run the engine for a moment, I can stop the engine and eject the fob ok. Ive tried the spare fob and get the same result so assume the fob receiver is faulty. Is the replacement a diy job?

Same problem last week with ours- looked inside the receptacle for the fob and realized there was a fair bit of grime and goo built up inside. Cleaned it up with a cotton swab, and it's been working better since...
That may be way too simple, but definitely an economical way to start! |
