Not having a V70 in front of me I can't visualise where your picture is. Some useful thoughts and pictures here. These earths don't have to be big and are usually small braided, round or flat, items. Not much current to worry about on the earth side unless there is a short.

I've already replaced both the earth straps, it's just the one that goes to a hidden bolt that got me. See Happy Diver's post from the 22nd for a description of where it is (and where I photographed). As he says "Mate I can barely see where mine goes, and mine is actually there".
