Unfortunately mine has just expired... I learned this when I had to replace my charging cable! Ouch!!
But lucky for me the quick switching worked on the door... |

Turns out this is quite wide spread. As my dealer visit was approaching and booking centre passed it to them, they rang me up straight away and asked to postpone as it is almost certainly knackered door locks and they had to order them.
I had a trouble with seatbelt getting stuck today and oncall guy came to fix it told me to stop using the car as unsafe with kids climbing in the back especially as the glass is laminated. So I asked oncall to arrange a replacement and taking that thing to sit at the dealers. Someone in the office overheard me making arrangements, says I have an xc90 and rear door locks are playing up. I thought it was just cold but now let me fix them as warranty runs out in three weeks. Mine are permanently out on both sides now. No amount of flicking the the inside lock helps. Seems like its a weakness but only shows up if the car is used with all four doors and obviously that will take a while. Front doors must have more robust hardware as no reports of those going wrong and drivers door must get way more usage.

Another in the club. On call on their way out now as both rear doors are out. Have noticed passenger front door doing it intermittently, but had put that down to user error before.
Will be very unhappy if this needs new locks - warranty was up last June..starting 2020 arguing with Volvo is not what I was wanting. |

PS rear seat belts also retracting very slowly. They grab fine when pulled quickly, but aren't retracting healthily.
And I think our turbo hoses have come adrift again... Best not be the start of big issues on what has been a decent experience for the last few years... |

Not something they could fix on the road...going into the dealer on Monday.
Tried a battery reset but no joy. Locks etc all working fine so believes it's something mechanical on the lock, but the assist guy didn't want to start taking the doors apart (fair enough). Will post back when fixed. |

New locks required...
Warranty ran out in June. Volvo offering a 40% contribution making it £450 for two locks. Ouch (though not quite as "ouch" as I was expecting). How many others have had this? And at what age? |

The dealership, on the face of it, are being great.
I was inclined to go direct to Volvo... Was waiting on a view on whether I was going to be stung on a few other items too before going in piecemeal |
