Exclamation Please help need advice regarding s60 coolant issues

Hi guys really hope you can help, i work for the ambulance service so havent got time to leave my car in the garage for a week, im not sure even if there is an issue??? Ive had my s60 2015 plate for a month and had a problem with a leak in my coolant tank / reservoir that was repaired on Wednesday. Been out for a drive today and the coolant light comes on (stop safely turn off engine etc) the coolant has dropped below the minimum level but when i release the cap and the coolant comes up from the engine it goes back up to the maximum and doesnt need topping up??? Any advice guys as my child has learning difficulties and i do quite a lot of driving back and forwards to manchester childrens and dont want to be driving and it breaks and im stranded on the motorway with a baby. Many thanks in advance guys

Ok , there is an improved headgasket for these , I would see your dealer , Not sure why they should start giving trouble after all these years though ...

I can see now why the previous owner sold it .. The excess pressure cracked the coolant bottle no doubt . Get a professional opinion from a Volvo dealer , you might even get help .

Another 1.6 PSA d2 with severe coolant issues and people still tell me this is a good engine because everyone uses it. Therefore that makes it good apparently....

I do hope you get it sorted however.

Is your car over 3 yrs old? If not you could use the Volvo warranty rather than the one that you mentioned.
