Default Alloy wheel help

Well after getting the 2nd hand alloys and loving the way they looked, I've had issue with vibrations at speed, que £24 to get them balanced £65 as one was buckled, back on the car at the weekend and vibration problem still there, swapped the fronts with the girlfriends wheels and issue gone so it looks like another wheel is buckled/damaged (vibration appeared on girlfriends car with the 2nd hand wheel fitted). So after 2 weeks or trying to sort i'm going to return the wheels and get a refund, and after being ripped off on egay I think the safest thing is to get some new wheels I've narrowed it down to the following

I also like this but they are inovit and the 2nd hand wheels are inovit and the wheel repairer mention the wheels were quite soft and easier than normal to repair/reshape, so I'm dubious of the quality

I'm leaning towards the white ones or the one with the 'rainbow' rim just after some opinions....

here's the car at the mo

I really don't think the rainbow ones will suit to be honest.

I think the top two or the last one would look the nicest.

What size are you looking at getting? As I am thinking of buying some for my girlfriends S40 in 17", but aren't too sure what width and offset to get?

What tyres are you going to use, 205/50/17?

Thanks

Yeah I'm thinking the white ones would be the best just not sure how they'll suite a black car...

I'm using two places on the web to get prices one is supplying 205/50 R17, and the other is saying 225/45 R17, the 205/50 is closer to standard I guess but I think the 225/45 will be cheaper tyres, and I presume the 225 would offer slightly more grip, the 18's I have a 225/40's

Will 225/45 not change the speedo accuracy for the worse?

I think white will suit your black car, but will be hard to keep clean!

Last, second and first is the way I'd go. The white will go with the black car but you have to ask yourself, "how often do I want to wash my car"

I mean the last wheel being my first preference.

The third wheels from the top would look best imo.
I think if your funds can stretch, go for 18's.
You would be surprised how good the rainbow effect would suit your car.

I will try to give you some idea by posting some pics up

Would love to see some pics if you got some, To be honest I've had the 18'S on for a week or so now and whilst the rides doable I think i'll be better off with 17's in the long run and I can't really afford 18"s new so I'd rather have new 17's than risk getting 2nd hand 18's again

Which sites are you looking at, and which site seems to have the best price?

Depends on the wheel really but the 2 that seem the cheapest are www.rimstyle.com (cheapest for most) www.wheelbasealloys.com (cheapest for the decent ones)
