Exclamation 2010 (MY11) XC60 SatNav no sound?

Hi all, first time poster so let me know if i've done something wrong.

I have been searching for ages for an answer to this question to no avail. My in-built SatNav works fine and properly directs me on-screen, however there is no sound. I have tried through the guidance settings, they all look fine. I've tried turning the volume up when the SatNav should be speaking and still nothing. is there something obvious I'm missing? any help is appreciated!

Thanks all!

It could be set to mute, try pressing the fav button when viewing the satnav, I have that set to turn voice guidance on and off. Think it’s the hashtag button on the dash.

I tried the hash button, however that doesn't seem to do anything other than scan the radio channels. I also couldn't find a fav button or any settings menu that mentions a favourite setting. It is the older SatNav system (I think VNS?) that uses the DVD maps if that helps?

I had a similar issue when I got my 2010 car with no sound from the sat nav. When sat nav is on scroll down to settings ( sat nav settings using the awkward knob under the string wheel or the remote) and to will find something about guidance volume which will have been turned down to zero. Just increase volume to suit the level you need.

Question

In the settings of the gps, I have the guidance volume up as high as it will go (35), however still no sound. I’m legitimately stumped for answers (lol).

Talking Updated (solved)

Just for anyone wondering, it turns out it was a software bug in this version of the navigation software, dealership ran an update to the operating system of the SatNav (not the maps) and it worked afterwards.

Did it cost to get the sound working again on your xc70 2010 car?
