Hi, some one sent me a private message about the thermistor asking if I still have it.
I do, but can't reply to your PM until i've done 30 posts apparently? So if you read this please PM me again with your address and i'll post it out to you. |

I have the same problem with my S60 ECC. Can you confirm that this is item that I need to replace. I've read the various posts but I'm just trying to make sure I'm getting the right one.

I ended up buying a ecc from ebay, and switching the sensor across from the ebay unit. Worked for me.

Hi. I also broke the sensor bulb in the thermistor whil cleaning out dust bunnies. I bought a used CCM that I want to remove the thermistor from -- yes, it's good -- and re-solder into my existing CCM. The only problem is I don't know how to disassemble the CCM.
I lifted the tabs along the top and was able to just pry the top of the faceplate back a bit but no more. I thought the knobs might be holding it but they didn't want to pull off and I don't want to exert too much pressure on anything until I understand how its supposed to come apart. I see that you've had yours in lots of different pieces. Can you tell me what I need to do in order to gain access to the circuit board behind the little 3-slot gril that holds the thermistor? Why is there only ONE temperature sensor when the two sides of the car have individual temp settings?
you'd think there'd be multiple sensors. |

question
Hi there
I know its an old post but have a question - I have a non climate control car and I got hold of a climate panel for my 2007 v70. Did the recommend - disconnected battery swapped over posn 2 when back on etc and it worked fine start away which was a bonus. I then had to swap it back as needed to check something - when it was out clean fluff on front and the fan at the rear of the sensor. Now once I plug it back in I get no aircon or anything the manual button light as is the manual fan - but if turn it, it starts goes green then immediately goes red and nothing. The question I have before I lay out any more cash is have I knackered the sensor by hovering it (looks intact) or have I spike it and killed the board? What faults did any one else get with faulty sensor? Its not a real issue as gone back to the manual panel and all is well. cheers in advance Andre |

This solution worked on my Volvo XC90
Thanks for this post. I recently made the mistake of cleaning the vent on my climate control unit on my 2006 XC90, and broke the thermistor behind it. After following the threads, I found that I could order the following part:
https://www.digikey.com/product-sear...?k=495-5054-ND I replace the part and everything works perfectly. One word of advise. Make sure your disconnect your battery before starting the job. Otherwise you will get a airbag warning light that has to be reset from a dealer or a repair shop with the right tool. |
