Default Cabin thermistor

Just changed my open-circuit thermistor, here are some pics. Easy enough, though probably not for a soldering novice !

And my Climate control is now working properly. Increase the temperature & the fan starts up automatically. I should have spotted this fault sooner, as I had the same problem on my ph1.

This is the spec from RS where I got mine, 10K NTC, there are some on eBay.

Not sure if the overall spec is the same.

Default USA Source for Thermistor

I too had a broken thermistor - on a 2005 S60 - and found a source in Mansfield, Texas for the Epcos/TDK B57540G1103F000. Company is Mouser Electronics, www.mouser.com

Thanks to all for your help!

rather than trying to solder a new/used thermister in place wouldnt it be possible to snip the brown and red wires and join them on a replacement thermister mount from a used control panel, that way theres no issue with compatibility of control units.

That would work although you'll pay more for a used CC panel than a thermistor.

so after trying to solder a new thermister in place and getting no improvement in the heater performance I bought another CCU off ebay with the same part number as mine and nothings changed. The heater only blows hot air out when its on maximum and the rest of the time it just blows cold. Any suggestions where to go next?
