Something loose in the engine bay
Anybody know what this is? And where is it supposed to be mounted?

The car is an 2003 XC90 D5 2.4

that is just a cable guide , the top should clip into a hole in the alloy bracket above which the big black beam is supported by .

It is the cable guide for the ABS sensor. Soo make sure it is secured and unlikely to rub on any moving parts.
