My anti skid warning came up a couple of times over the last week....after i tried to drive the car out of the garage with the handbrake still on.....

Main dealer cleared the codes and no further problems

I had this together with the yellow triangle warning on my '70 after mis-timing a handbrake release/acceleration during a start from lights abut 3 weeks ago. I was accelerating away before the H/B was fully released.

I've not seen it again since, although about a week after it, I did get some new tyres incase a front to back rolling radius imbalance was causing it - and possibly any other damage too in time.

for your xc90 your dealer should have done a Brake Control Module software upgrade to prevent this happening again ..

Question Anti Skid temporarily off

I have had this happen a few times on my car, and it always happens after the car has been parked with the wheels turned facing either left or right, it does not happen if the wheels are left in the dead ahead position. The warning disappears after about 5 miles of normal driving
I hope this helps and doesn't muddy the waters at all.

Same as Bainbm. I get it occasionally when the wheels are parked on lock. Clears after restart

I've had this message a few times, over a Year ago. I have removed and cleaned the ABS sensors and rings and message hasn't been back since. Based on the earlier messages about the error showing when the car is parked with the wheels turned, this could very well be the cause?!

Ah Ha
I had this message this morning after parking the car overnight with wheels with a bit of lock on them.

Cleared after about 10seconds of driving so I'm guessing it's some form of sensor giving an unexpected message at start-up & then resetting once moving off.

Will watch it over the next few day's

I had that warning coming on intermittently. Now it is on permanently. My tyres seem to be wearing heavily.

Could this be related?

Default Anti skid disabled

I have had the "anti skid service required" warning coming on for the last week or two. it comes on when the ignition is switched on and stays on until the ignition is turned off. This happened about one in ten switch-ons but is now getting up to about every other time I turn the ignition on. The tyres seem to be wearing like there is a tracking issue and the steering wheel is not dead centre when the wheels are straight ahead.

Any ideas?
