Default 2005 Air Distribution Flaps Where ?

Hi
Think I may have a sticky Air Distribution flap on my 2005 S60 D5 (with ECC)

Air distribution doesn't seem to be pushing much air out of the foot & dash vents.

Fan runs fine & I can hear air moving about somewhere in the system but just not where I want it.

Don't think the filter can be blocked as its only a year old, of course it may be, or the filter box lid is not sealing correctly.

Just want to cover all the bases before having a look at the weekend.

Anyone else have any ideas

Andy

Anyone any Ideas or is there some form of reset sequence I can try?

Will check filter box & everything at the weekend as a 1st port of call.

Bump anybody got any ideas on this one ?

Defo something is stuck somewhere as the vents don't seem to chck out much air.

Filter is removed at present to try to trace the problem.

I can here something moving as the air note changes as I adjust the distribution but no real change in the volume of air.

Also if the distribution is set in a particular way & the fan on high I get a whistling type noise.

Smile where to start?

Suprised someone hasnt replied, according to mr haynes the flap motors are close to the blower and you need to get the glove box out before you can get to this area, you might be able to see up if the kick panel on pass side removed, hope thats some help..

Thanks for the info, I'll start pulling bits apart at the weekend if it's not raining.

Mmm maybe an investment in good old Mr Haynes is in order.

Thanks Again

Andy

Maybe you should get someone with a fault code reader to check it out before you start dismantling things ? You may have a faulty sensor somewhere.

Smile flaps

Haynes doesnt go into much detail, just that there is a Air recirculaton flap motor and a distribution flap motor (might be your issue?) i would imagine messing with the aircon controls should make these motor to different positions.. maybe someone on here has some pages from vida perhaps ?
