Default Common defects/repairs on a V60 AWD Phev

I have put the deposit down on a V60 D6 AWD Phev. I was in two minds but took it for a test drive and fell in love with it.

It's a 64 reg so quite early, and I know they have suffered from a few problems in the past. Particularly the ISG and the Air Con, the latter of which can malfunction and immobilise the car.

I was able to ring the Volvo dealership where previous services have taken place and understand the only repairs have been new wipers, a new driver's wing mirror and a new auxillary belt.

The dealership I am buying from are offering a 3 year warranty for £1k. If repairs like the air con and ISG are covered I am wondering if I should go for it. Does anyone know any common issues which may occur? This particular car has done 33,000 miles. Thanks in advance.

Hi. I have one similar for a year. And got that problem with aircon after two months of use. Was too expensive for me to fix it, so I did drive during the year with fault (found in this forum how to reset it), and from January 2019 Volvo did recall for faulty parts. I was lucky to get car fixed for a free. So, You can buy it. Car is fantastic. Recall active for a two years I think.

How did you reset that fault btw? So there is a modified - hopefully better - air con installed by Volvo after January 2019? Great news, as D6 aircon usually had a 1-1,5 year life span.
