Quite ridiculously, a year on, I still have not got this resolved.
Can anyone confirm a working solution for the in-car passenger fuse box that works with a PowerMagicPro (So bother Live and ignition fuses needed).

As the cabling has been done - but the wrong fuses are being used (despite following the manual) so I can get it working, but on demand only, not automatically.

I remember reading an article about car camera's not being used as dash cams because of self incrimination - so if you were in the wrong, you can choose not to supply a dashcam recording, or say the memory was full or battery was dead etc.

If it's in your car as default, then that's potentially a lot of legal trouble.

Been waiting a month to fit my dash cam, finding the fuse box, etc. Now found this whilst researching, think it may help others with the later XC60. At least I didn’t find the fuse box then find I would have to put it all back as I did not have the correct Add a Fuse.

I just tapped into the back of the 12v socket as suggested elsewhere on this forum. Just one panel to pull off.

Is there both Ignition Live and Switched Live on the 12V socket?

Stop trying to confuse me with technical questions! It comes on with the ignition and goes off when you lock the car or after a few minutes, whichever comes first. My dashcam was just plugged into the socket for ages before I finally decided to hide the last 2" of visible cable by doing it properly.

I’m looking at fitting my BlackVue with a Power Magic, hence ignition live and permanent live, using the fuse box is a shorter route for cabling also.

Has anyone installed this dashcam that fits neatly under the rearview mirror?

This is the same as https://www.kammu.com/shop/dash-cam/...v40-xc60-xc90/

It's a Chinese firm and it is a bad idea given feedback shared here: https://forums.swedespeed.com/showth...=1#post4383297 and here: https://www.volvoforums.org.uk/attac...7&d=1482489757

This may be a better way to go:
