This is a superb how to..........iPod is very important to me in the car (being in the music biz and all) so its something I am definitely going to do with my SC 805 at some point!

Is the build pretty much the same for one of those?

The 805 is slightly different. If you want to wait I can produce a guide for the 805 when I get one to mod

I have an SC805 which I want to do this mod on. If you want, I am happy to send it to you to work your wizardry on?

I have already removed the tape deck and glued the tape slot shut, it's just a case of soldering the wires to the right places

Ok, what I might do is grab a couple of 805's and mod them, then place them for sale

I would be happy to do an 'exchange' price of these units

I'm sure a deal could be reached

Mine works perfectly fine, but like I mentioned, I have removed the tape deck and glued the tape panel shut. I still have the tape deck, haven't thrown it away yet, hope this would be ok?

Just so I have an idea, what sort of price would you be thinking (roughly) if your happy to do the part ex?

i will not know until i obtain one, but unfortunatly, they tend to go for around £35 on ebay, plus £10 postage, so it costs £45 before I mod it. So, a modded one has to be at least £60 before postage.

Giving i would prob give you £30 part ext, you are looking at £30 plus postage.

The problem is always recouping the postage.

I can mod yours instead, if you send it to me, but please include the tape deck so i can do a full mod and take pics, like this thread

If you were to cover postage both ways, i can mod yours for £20
