Question 2001 V70XC Brake Lights - Help !

Hi, I have a 2001 V70X, and have realised that I have no rear brake lights, (lower or high level), I am not getting any warning messages on the dashboard display, I have checked the fuse, bulbs, and the brake switch at the pedal, but no joy.
Have read a few posts 'Brake Light Cure' etc, but to be honest starting to get confused over the relay issue, I was thinking it could just be my brake light switch, any idea's, everything else electrical appears to be working ok.
Any help/ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
kevin.

If the brake light relay in the Rear Electronic Module fails this only affects the lower brake lights. The high level light is controlled by a transisitor circuit which is also in the Rear Electronic Module.

Its possible that both circuits have failed but I would have said unlikely. As there are no warning messages it would suggest its not a fault in the electronic systems; which leaves the brake light switch/connections or possibly an earth problem near the brake light bulbs. Are all the other rear lights working OK?

Thanks for your reply, yes, all other lights are working ok, hope it is just the brake light switch, will get one ordered in the morning.
Cheers,
Kevin.
