If you have one now but are finding it difficult to install the configurator program, I've worked out to get around the VolvoTech offline error. Give me a shout if you need some help.

Got a CFE plus and programming lead I might be tempted to sell.
It doesn’t like my new P3 V70 (only supported in beta). Been debating holding on to it to see if they fully support the car in the future, but I only want it now for a temperature gauge (early P3 doesn’t have one) so it seems a waste. It’s happiest in a facelift P2 car, early cars need an extra connector soldering into the Canbus. |

Is it a facelift model (Square reversing light) or not?
Pre-facelift needs a 2nd obd socket installing on the high and low speed canbus lines (back of CEM and radio in v70), pain in the bum job! And you’ve got to source the socket. Volvo-tech used to sell them, but done seem to be trading. I couldn’t be bothered taking the one out of my old car as it means stripping a lot of the dash apart. CFE (not plus), I think just needs connecting to low speed can lines. |

I'm going to be putting the V70 on the market in September. I have CFE plus which has been a great toy and worked really well. It's on upto date firmware and very easily managed. Interface wire is obviously included in sale. Happy to move it on at this point if still interested.
Regards, Ian

Ian,
I'd certainly be interested in that for my MY2005 V70 if the others pass. |
