okay will do that.
I was thinking that perhaps I could just replace that sensor.. it shouldn't be that expensive I guess. |

Its faulty and will be stopping your cruise from working. Think they were about £50 for a genuine one when I changed one a few years ago. Take note of posts that suggest wrapping a replacement in a plastic bag to prevent early demise.
