Default Wipers - suddenly stop then restart 15 minutes later

Hi has anyone got an idea for this wiper issue?

Driving to work the wipers suddenly stopped. Though it was a relay so swapped it out.

Wipers started them 10 miles later stopped. I called into a breaker and got a bunch of relays as I thought it was popping them.

Today I took the wipers off and replaced the motor and arm mechanism. This has not cured the fault so I know its not the motor.

With he ignition on and the wipers on they run for a few minutes then stop again! A few minutes later they start for a bit then conk out!

I am wondering if its the fuse box, or perhaps the stalk mechanism behind the steering wheel now?

Its a real issue as its my work car and I cant get to work. Living in Cumbria it does have a tendency to rain!

Any help appreciated.

Rich

PS its not the intermittent setting by the way before that one gets mentioned

Hi.
To be honest i think you`ve answered your own question.
If you`ve changed out everything bar 2 items with no joy then that`s where you go next. Another possibility is a break in the wiring that makes/breaks with heat or vibration or there is an earthing issue.
