Hi,

A few question for you good people!

1 - Is it possible to buy, lets say a winter pack for my 2014 XC70 D5 and if possible how would you go about getting it and fitting it?

2 - Where do I download EU Map updates for the GPS in the same car and how would I install it?

I shall await in anticipation for your learned answers.

Thanks for taking the time to read this post.

No expert by any means but I would think that to add for eg; a winter pack would be a mammoth undertaking if it can be done and the cost may be prohibitive. I'm not sure what the winter pack on a XC70 consists of but typically it would be heated seats, heated washers, heated w/screen and maybe some lighting upgrades.

Regarding map updates have a look on My Volvo, clicky
Select your system and follow the instructions. Basically download to a 32GB USB stick, after downloading place stick into the car USB port and the download should start.

Tried to add heated seats on my P2, the hardware can be sourced from a breakers, however Volvo where unable to apply the software to activate the functions - don’t know if that’s still applicable on the newer cars.

Vdash can program it - for a cost obviously.

On my 2012 XC70 I have all the extras which you quote except a heated screen and the rapid screen clear facility, which utilises electric air heating until the engine can provide enough heat, is more than adequate to keep the screen clear and I believe that they are standard on the model so I'm not sure what this "winter pack" contains. Since you live in Yorkshire and not Siberia, I think what the car has fitted will be more than adequate.
