Opinion on noise from engine area

Have this rubbery squeaky noise from the front of the XC.

Comes when I lift my foot off the gas pedal abruptly. And more pronounced when engine is cold, after 20 mins or so, it is less noticeable and not readily reproducible.

Noise at 0.07, 0.15, 0.18

Initially thought it was due to bad mounts, so I replaced all the mounts except the transmission torque bracket mount (it was still fine - PU version) with the new hydraulic mounts last to go in yesterday. Sadly noise still there.

Any ideas?

It’s not the throttle pedal pivot is it? Does it do it with the engine off?

Excellent suggestion.

With engine off, the noise is not there. Can only hear a click.

Been testing in other ways too. With engine idling in N, pressing and releasing the gas pedal quickly does not produce the noise.

Could this imply the source as being from the driveshaft or propeller shaft?
