Remove printed circuit board, wash the board and the silicone rubber inner cover with propyl alcohol (switch cleaner) allow to dry - clean "new battery" with switch cleaner and rub over both sides with a piece of emery cloth, glass paper or a nail file - reassemble and then try again if that too fails try a different make of battery - always better to use Duracell or Vidor NB it will either be a CR2016 or a CR2032 according to original spec & year - it will definitely not a be 2035!! which is way too thick and prevents reclosure of the key shell/case

If those measure fail consider, cleaning or replacing the lock/unlock switches on the printed circuit board (they cost around 50p or so each) as well as buying a replacement fob case which whilst it doesn't have the printed circuit, does come with a new silicone membrane.

Failing that consider contacting a fob repair company who will replace all the switches for around £25

Yeah, everything is normal , just no remote opening/closing, even the indicator lights flash whilst opening/closing,will sit down this weekend and try the switch cleaner again, will also go through the circuits , but where does one buy the switches from ? No Maplins or anything other around .

Can't remember!!

I have 2 packs of switches. One has 8 left and one pack has 10. I think the difference is the pressure needed to operate the switch.
I assume I used the one with 8 left.
The blue label box has 8 left.

If you get stuck let me know(PM me) and I could post you a couple.
But at least the part numbers might help

Put a meter across the pins on the switches all OK , even traced some of the board without any open circuit, is there a fuse for the remote sensor ?
