Default Another Judson Supercharger B16 (PV)

Hi All
Second one this week to come up for sale. Sounds a good one although there is no mention of the special right hand bonnet hinge required to fit the Judson to a PV.

Happy shopping
Paul

That's about as nice as you'll find maybe but a lot of money to pay for "cool".
Bearing in mind that these were designed, I think, to go on the 1200 Beetle, they run out of puff as the engine capacity increases. There are some numbers for HP etc somewhere, maybe on a link in an earlier post, that show that it makes about 85bhp on a B16. That's the same as a B16B. I think the carb on it is only a 34mm which is the same as a B16A. For B18/20 you'd need some reworking with a bigger carb and changing the drive ratio to up the blower speed. It would be fun, but RHD cars don't make fitting easy.

IF I had the interest - I would had bought the other one and this one - so that I could make up a true, complete B18 set in super nice condition...

Funny thing is that the two sets both are not all right/complete - but mixed together they would make a super nice B18 set - and some leftovers...

Yes I think the earlier one had a manifold for B18 and the later for B16.

I have some specs but not sure how to post them but on the B18 it increases the power from 85HP to 124HP. 0-60 from 15.5 to 10.5 and top speed from 95 to 105 (PV 544). I also have photos of a complete 544 kit which shows the special hinger required, but to date have not found anyone who has one for sale.
