 car back on the road at last  i would like to say thank you to the following... biotoxic..960kg...v40bart...andy d... d...dog book...tt82...dc6839...mikealder... for the link to the gearbox repair....a special thanks to gatos for lots of help,and posting the hard to get hold of shims and other parts .....and to anadinolin for helping gatos with the gearboxdid siamblue help too,if so thanks....i will always be grateful to everyones help with this post.....

Sweet. So glad you got the old girl up and running. Siamblue has also helped by removing the original gearbox....
 However, you forgot to congrtulate one more person. ANd that person would be you and actually your brother, for going where very few people have gone before; taking the gearbox apart and doing all that work on it. Very very few people here would actually do what you did. So well done and I wish you trouble free motoring for the future.
