I checked my PCV system today with the rubber glove over the oil filler cap on my S60 T5 with 126k, it’s something I’ve read about on here loads of times, panicked about and always forgot to check, and I’m surprised and pleased it’s working fine.

Cheers, Luke

Started the V70 today for the first time since February - almost instantaneous start at the first turn of the key even though the alarm has been permanently on - the Aldi solar battery maintainer works wonders.

Much cheaper than replacing both callipers.

Ordered two new calipers and two new flexi hoses off ebay, i could just relpace the pistons and seals but feel happier replacing the whole lot, brakes have always felt not quite right since i've had the car, new discs and pads have made a significant improvement so new calipers and flexi's should take them to 100%.

2004 XC70

Had a gloopy liquid burst auto dim etc rear vision mirror, the mirror bit.

So I grabbed a sound one and pulled and unclipped and unresoldered my programmed electronics into the new housing
as although the mirrors were the same part number there were some slight build and moulding changes, modifications.

And not a mark on any of the plastic anywhere or from splitting the two halves
Because I didn't use a rusty screwdriver or a shovel

So I'm happy.

Thanks.

Only took eighteen months too!

I just really wonder how long the rest will take

Bone tool!

Magnificent!

Replaced both front calipers and flexi hoses, as brake jobs go this was relatively easy to do but suffering now due to doing the job in 29 degree heat.

A bit of a update to the Instrument Cluster today.

Just need to find some 2008 facelift stalks now!

What year is your car?

I fitted the R cluster to my car, but it didn't work.
No RPM, no Speedo and no digital readout.

Also fitted the newer stalks, with the chrome rings, but they weren't compatible either.

Mines a 2006MY car, I had to take the cluster apart and resolver 2 wires from the LED over lights to the PCB but that took literally 10 minutes.

Rest was plug and play.

If you get 01-04 S60R dials they should work?
