Default In Car Modem (Google system)

I don’t think that the in car modem is set up in my car but I can’t be sure. The car only seems to connect to the internet when my phone is in it via my phone’s personal hotspot.

I looked in the rather scant online manual and as instructed have tried to accept the internet terms of use in the privacy settings which led me to a Telekom incar hotspot registration page.

Please would anyone give me a steer as to how I progress from here?

Many thanks

Have you installed a sim card in the car? My V90 and xc40 have a sim card reader in the boot under the carpet.

Thanks for your reply. much appreciated.

No, I haven’t, as I understood that the car came with access to 100GB for free and it seems to think it is somehow on O2???

I have it booked in at the dealer on Friday for something else so I’ll get them to take a lok at it.

Do you not get four years free data with the car ? in Ireland you sign up for hotspot drive which gives four years data (free) and sign in with your google account to use the Play store - Sim is preinstalled at factory not need to mess around. Would have thought this would be done at handover, if not set up no maps etc working.
