I agree. with a full tank of fuel and my tools in the boot my 740 is really squatting down on its bum.... with over 6 tons of truck it'd be on the bump stops

They might have replaced the springs with solid bars, and pumped the tires up to ridiculous psi.

Me thinks you need new shocks!! Heavy duty (with heavy duty springs) or self levellers if you're carrying around so much stuff on a regular basis...

Hes one very lucky guy. That could have been much worse. I bet he goes out and buys another one now though.

That ad is good, never seen it before. But I reckon the volvo isnt actually sat on its wheels, the weight would probably destroy the suspension. Its likely its got some sort of support under its chassis to take the weight.

That Modus thing from 5th gear or whatever needs to be taken with a pinch of salt, consider the source of the 'test'. The volvo could not have been allowed to come off better. It would look very bad on the car and renault as a companey. Im pretty sure renault sponsered 5th gear at the time aswell?
