Guess what .... I am still considering matters having held a hooter in various positions. On the 745 facelift you can easily fit it 'behind' the grill but, it is really quite open to road sh!te as there's no room to get them out of the direct line of fire. You could also attach (just) a pair facing forward behind the o/s headlight fixing them to the the inner lip of the shut panel.

However for ease my latest thoughts are under the bonnet on the n/s inner wheel arch using a couple of the ABS (which I don't have) mountings to make up a small bracket to fix two hooters on. I am sure that it's not going to detract much, if any, from the sound level as I tested both hooters across the battery terminal the other day and 'twas loud.

Wiring also would seem to be easy as there's quite a bit of spare on the loom running to the original hooters and, it may well be that once released there will be sufficient original loom for it to be 'bent back' for the terminals to reach the the inner wheel arch.

Recently the weather hasn't been to good for me to get too in advance of myself!!

That could be a very funny line in certain situations Bob!

What about angle brackets to hang the horns pendant style from the slam panel?

It's all in the mind my good Laird you've spent too long alone in the Highlands!! I used the singular to avoid uplift in the plural. I was even going to say 'horn' but thought that inappropriate.

Back to the immediate problem in hand and "having held a hooter in various positions" I don't think there's enough room to hang a 'horn' off the slam panel with an angled bracket. Room is even further limited on the n/s due to the air filter. It's got to be a straight bracket as you can't tuck a horn underneath!

Put my horns back in the same place. They lasted 23 years down there, so if they last another 23 I'll be happy

I could've said "If I'm still h***y in 23 years time I'll be happy"
