ATF level check - when engine is on or off?
Hello guys,
My car is a 2011 2.4 D5 with AWTF-80SC transmission. When overflowing the atf fluid (final topoff), should the engine be running or switched off? I noticed that if the engine is off then approx 1 liter of fluid when flow out from the drain bolt (T40). The haynes manual seems not to be very clear of this. Thanks. |

My 2007MY has the same transmission.
It should be done with the engine running and until there is just a slow dribble/ drop coming out from what I read on Vida. Oh, and make sure it's at the right temperature as this can significantly affect the level! Last edited by Ade2015; Sep 24th, 2017 at 08:42. |
