dash lights not working
Hi all
Dash lights on my V70 98 switch off randomly. I replaced the dimmer switch with a new one half a year ago. Problem was solved until recently. Headlights and window switch lights still work. When dying it sounds like a switch or relay switching. Moving the dimmer switch does not help, switching off headlights and back on does. Defective headlight switch maybe? |

There was a recall on these models for headlight switch problems, obviously dealer won't help now but I would start by replacing switch

Could be Early signs of ignition switch failure. Simple fix.

Agree with above, either the electrical part of the ignition switch, or faulty headlight switch, both common problems on these cars and both easy to fix.
If it's ignition switch, gently rotating the key in the ignition a little might bring the lights back on, if this doesn't work I'd start with a new headlight switch.
