Xc60
Am about to order an XC60 but can't stretch to a factory fit satnav. Have noticed the offer for XC90 but wonder whether this applies to XC60 model as well? Currently have a double din pioneer AVIC system in my current vehicle - if the garmin system doesn't work, would this? Any advice gratefully received.
Thanks PS - have since found earlier threads on main XC60 forum but still grateful for any up to date info on progress made. Last edited by Sandy379; Jan 8th, 2010 at 17:51. |

Hi. I have an '05 XC90 with the factory fitted sat nav system, fibre optic version. At some time in its life the DVD unit , located under the passenger set, has been replaced with a second hand unit. (Without it in position the radio/CD or rear park sensor do not function either.) For wahtever reason this replacement unit won't seem to talk to the antenna and hence does not receive any satellite data. The system will navigate if you re-set the position using the wheel rotation sensor and compass but it is easily fooled and eventually loses its position, maybe it takes 50 yards or 300miles. Going into the diagnostics of the sat nav system reveals an error code of "DTC 3100: GPS (Open)". I saw you post and was wondering what options you could offer to get the sat nave system working? Many thanks, Nick.

Thanks Peter, got your PM, however I must apparently post 30 times before I can PM again ??? Only 27 to go.
It does not appear to be damp, had to change a wheel, twice (same one - well same wheel, new tyre!! ) , last week, it was definately bone dry. Is it the audio still fading in output, or is there no apparent problem (my least favorite type of problem...) Thanks for getting back to me, I wasn't sure it had got to you! Let me know how it goes.
