Default Testing headlamp wiper motors

Hi all,

My OS headlamp wiper seems to have developed a mind of its own. Sometimes it parks normally, sometimes it points upwards or to one side so I'm guessing a replacement is needed.

I have a second hand unit in the spares box but can't remember where or how I got it. Want to test it but not sure how. There are three terminals (from memory red, black and yellow). Do I just connect the red and black to a battery? What does the other terminal do?

Thanks for reading.

Cheers,
LeeP

You could open it up and clean it, but maybe it just needs a little release oil on the shaft to free it up. Has your spare not got a plug on it? If so I would just plug it in and see what happens
