Running on 2 cylinders
having major issues with my 2007 2.0d s40, assuming its a fuel or compression issue. Cleaned out my intake manifold a while back and everything was running smoothly. I pulled out of a junction and lost all power. It was as if the car had gone into limp mode, not revving above 1200RPM. Upon inspecting injector 1 & 4 seemingly stopped working, I swapped them over with 2 and 3 and the issue remained on cylinders 1 & 4. Is there anything I should check before forking out for a compression tester? Yet to do a leak off test to make sure fuel flow is as it should be. I've scanned the car and had no fault codes, no EML light on, nothing. any help or advice is greatly appreciated!

Hi
If the fault stayed on cylinders 1&4, could it not be the electrical signal to the injectors instead of the cylinders? There are some tests you can run with Vida Dice on the injectors, I would be tempted to do that first. Also see if there are any fault codes logged using Vida. A generic reader might not show all or any faults. Iain |

Hi would have thought it is more likely to be electrical especially as it suddenly happened. Unlikely 2 cylinders at opposite ends of the engine failed mechanically at the same time.
