Tailgate trim panel
Hi all
I've recently had some bodywork done on my rear bumper & tailgate and have noticed the tailgate panel (on inside) hasn't been refitted correctly. I can't be bothered taking it back as my Haynes manual suggests it comes off quite simply by removing the grab handle and then pulling downwards? I know there is already a few tabs/clips broken but I don't want to destroy anymore if I can avoid it! Has anyone removed one before and how easy or any tips about removing and refitting? Many thanks

Are you on Facebook? and more precisely the V50 owners group?
If so I can link you to a good thread on the subject. If not I'll have to copy the pictures, host them and then post them here.

I've done it on my S40 before (I assume the same as the V50), there's clips on the inside that you get out using a flat head screw driver, once they're out you need some hefty pulls on the plastic to take it out - from memory.

Thanks for that, my manual says to take the grab handle off and then pull the panel down? Will have look at what you suggested. Just don't want to wreck any more fixings!
Thanks again.

Ok so i managed to remove the panel today, it is really just a case of yanking it off after removing the inner handle. Only 2 broken clips so will order some off eBay before refitting.
Thanks again for the replies and info

Glad you managed it okay. Sorry, I didn't have access to a decent PC to post any helpful pictures etc.
Here's a link to that Facebook Group and thread on this removal - https://www.facebook.com/groups/7146...3337169724630/ Here's some pictures Grab handle removed Bottom half removed Top half and sides removed I have a rattle from the top half & sides area. The guy that fixed the same issue on his mentioned the noise was coming from the plastic pins These were rattling within the holes so he put some sticky foam in and it fixed it.
