Default Chip Tuning on 1.6 D2

Hello. I have ordered a chip tuning box to see if it really saves fuel consuption. Recieved a box with chip and a wire with plugs. Big plug goes to the chip, rest 2 connect somewhere to the engine. There was no instruction for installation and I tried to find where it should be connected by myself. I found only one connection which fits to the chip box plugs. Connected but engine doesn't start with it. I have 3 optios: 1-chip wire with plugs is not for my model, 2-chip box is out of service or duesn't match to my engine, 3-I connect it wrong way (but i couldn' find something same under the bonnet)

That can't possibly help fuel consumption . It is designed to raise the power , which you are going to use , so it will use a little more fuel ...
also you are likely to cause extremely expensive damage plugging things in random sockets !

Defenitly doesn't sound very reputable which could lead to a lot of problems on that car. Chip tuning is essentially override the ECU and most cheap boxes will just over fuel causing more problems down the line, I had one on my 2.0d s40 which just caused a lot of limp mode under full acceleration and on other cars previously just cause over fuelling issues.

I cant help with cable layout for the 1.6d sorry only know the 2.0d but from my experience, be careful with those boxes.
