Volvo 240 GLT Estate (A-Reg) RARE Coffin Nose Breaking.
Good day to you,
I'm parting out a Volvo 240 GLT Estate On behalf of my father, this vehicle (Known as Borris to us) was a family vehicle with a well maintained history, though the engine was never converted to Unleaded fuel but it is so strong that it never needed it, Despite this however RedEx was added to the tank with every refill. The bonnet is only 4 road years Old and in very good condition. The previous owner was a police officer who had the workshops put the police force suspension upgrades on (240s were a favorite of the Police Force) he also cared for Borris. Please text me on 07724-682-226 with your requirements. I have also listed on eBay and if you wish to message me that would be the best place to do it, just search 181548587853 and you'll see it, along with images and an updated list of available, provisionally unavailable and unavailable parts, my contact number is also on the listing. Engine available but sadly we don't have the tools to drop it. |

Yes I do, I'll wait to post it however as the front is currently tight up to a wall and I'll have to take the photo of the grille tomorrow.

I remembered something that I have previously neglected to mention, the bonnet On this particular 240 is only 4 road years old and looks to still be in very good condition, also if you'd like the bonnet's hinges I can photograph them at the same time for you.

As you can see the fellow above you potentially has a claim on the bonnet and grille, the 5 Speed OD M46 gearbox and front seats are not available and I have an interested party in the blue tinted export door mirrors so they have been removed. We have already started the breaking process and removed some switches, badges and speakers as a part of this. The final warning I'd give is that it's been stored for some 4 years after failing an MOT some 4 months after a collision on the front right corner resulting in a damaged chassis, standing hasn't been kind to the bottom of the doors or wheel arches that despite being kept under cover are currently held together by the paintwork. If you're still willing to go ahead then here is a list, any one of which would be a reason to buy it. FULL - Manifold Back, Stainless Steel Exhaust, the front half had to be made. I'd want about £100 as about £250 was spent installing it. Full engine block. I'd want about £150 for that as they're strong and reliable. Good mechanical glass sunroof. I'd want about £100 for that as its genuine Volvo. The final things are suspension. Monroe air ride dashboard adjustable rear shocks. Police spec suspension bushes (Very Very rare) I'd want £395 for these because of their rarity. The total would be £795 for all, would you be happy with this? |

How much do you want for the tailgate hinges? Are they in good condition? Cheers, Iain |

I have had a quick look on ebay and the only hinges I can find would be around £41 + Postage and Import costs (Tax ect.) from the USA, here is the link for proof. 321464160999 With that in mind I don't think it would be unreasonable to ask £25 (plus postage which can be calculated at a later date) each as they are used but have been well lubricated over the lifetime of the car. If you're intrested in this offer then please email (using the forum's private message system) me or text me your address, I don't want you to have your address broadcast for everyone to see, you could also pick up if you're local to the Fareham &locks heath area in Hampshire, if so I'll give you my number so you can call me if you get lost.
