Default Coffin nose 240 wanted

As you can tell I’ve been looking for an early 240 for sometime. There must be one out there somewhere that isn’t as rusty as an anchor.

Anyone selling a coffin nose 240?

Thanks in advance.

Classic Volvo seems to be a dealer looking for stock to flip, here is a selection of his/her recent wanted ads from these pages:

... or maybe Classic Volvo is just a Volvo enthusiast that chooses not in engage in any other forum business except finding motorcars to expand his collection?

In that case I'm delighted to discover that my suspicion was wrong. We will look forward to hearing about your XC90 V8, 265GLE, XC90 Executive, 240GLT or early 240GLT estate once you have found one Steve.

Might I suggest you subscribe to the 'Seriously?' thread where we often discuss 240s for sale:

... these motorcars come up quite frequently.

Good fortune,

That nose makes it one of the ugliest cars ever created! Well, they're all ugly af and Volvo attempted several times to make them look better, but the coffin nose takes the cake. It makes the Pontiac Aztek look good.😮🤣

Sorry to hear this Steve. Difficult to know what to say. Better left where it is by the sound of it.

There will be another.

We could do with a, ‘go see network’ , around the country to give a real-life look to prospective buyers.
