Default V70 head unit upgrade

I recently purchased my first Volvo at the weekend. It’s a 2006 Volvo D5.

I love the car but iv lost the Bluetooth and Mac functions from my old unit I had in my old car (passat)

I wondered if there is any aftermarket units that have these features that can be fitted into the v70. Ideally if I could use the one I have in my old car that would be great. That unit is a pioneer avic 9210bt.

Any suggestions would be really appreciated

Anyone got any advice on this? Is it a nightmare to change the factory stereo for an aftermarket double din unit to gain the sat nav, Bluetooth function??

GROM BT3 would suit well. I fitted one to my car last week, it works great. Not perfect but very good. You're more than welcome to poke around and play with my one if you're passing by

A nice video demo here.

Be aware that you need to leave the head unit in CD changer mode to make or receive calls. I have an iphone mount near the centre vents which works great. I use an app called Radioplayer for DAB radio on the go. For the money its a good bit of kit.

I use this https://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=261575 for audio and calls over bluetooth.

I might just have the perfect solution for you . Last year I sold my 2005 XC70 from which I removed a Pioneer AVIC F950DAB double DIN head unit so I could put the original one back in. I now have the correct black fascia adapter and wiring loom so your unit will just drop straight in. This will allow you to use the existing amp (if fitted) & the aerial connection.

I'm asking £40 for fascia & adapters inc courier if that's of any interest to you?
