Bit worrying, can anyone help.... Also is it still possible to get these recalls done through dealers I have read about, (VOSA website).

Many thanks in advance Chris and Sam

Chris/Sam.

did you ever get to the bottom of this ? I have a similar problem that I haven't started to diagnose yet, apart from have the tracking done.

Repair is being carried out at no charge by Volvo. The recall letter is brief and my XC90 is due to go later in the week, so I may be able to find out a little more details.
This recall was carried out years ago in the UK, its a 5 minute fix, they fit a retaining clip to stop the posibility of power steering hose touching cooling fan blades,

But recalls like this should be ongoing. Having just recently purchased an 07 plate XC90 and experiencing this judder, I think the previous owners did not receive this recall letter.

I have emailed Volvo an am awaiting their reply.

The risk is a loss of power steering fuid if fan hits the power steering hose from pump resulting in loss of power steering and heavy steering, it would not cause juddering.
If you have not had the retaining bracket fitted use a tie wrap to fasten hose away from fan as a temporary fix, thats what Volvo did until the brackets were available. Check your pipe and fluid level.

Any pics of where this pipe is and where the tie wrap should go?

I would check with your dealer to see if the fix is applicable to your car , It was issued about 10 years ago so I guess most are done by now .

LATEST RECALL NOTICE - REPORTED IN THE MEDIA

Fortunately my 2010 XC90 Exec doesn't seem to be one of them.
(At least when I entered my VIN into the Volvo website it reported that my recalls were up to date.)
Hopefully the UK website is accurate.

Is the page working? Seems that it's down.

Edit: Didn't load up on Chrome. Changed browser to Mozilla and it appeared!
