It's fairly easy to get to the PCB. There are some instructions on the WEB but if you need any help along the way, just let me know.

Cheers,

Jay,

Every time I Google Volvo and PCB all I get is the GPS recall info. Can you help me locate where this board is? I have an 05 US version xc90 with the radio display out. All other audio, lights and sensors (Park Assist) are working. It'd be great to swap a transistor and have this thing running again.

Thanks.

Inside the ICM, behind the display.

Default What's the solution?

Hi all,
I have a 2004 D5.
The stereo display is blank and the parking sensors are faulty.
Several people have mentioned fitting a S/H ICM unit but have not really commented on their solution - if any.

Can anyone advise if this a solution - I was told that it had to be a specific coded part from Volvo.....so I am unsure.

I would really like to get this problem fixed....at the least possible cost.

Thank you,

I have found that mine does this every 3-4months and a fix for mine is to turn the engine off, look under the seat and on the side near the door unplug the 2 black/grey plugs (amp plugs?). I then plug them back in and hey presto - all working again.

This was a tip from another post about the same issue.

Anyone else want to try and let us know?

Darren.

Darren,

I'd love more info on where these plugs are. Driver side? Passenger side? Mine is an 05 US spec. I pulled the amp and unplugged a grey wiring harness with a red and brown wire with no results. I couldn't find a set of black/grey plugs anywhere. Pics? or a bit more detail so I can try this solution would be appreciated.

I pulled the unit but didn't have sufficient light to take the case work apart. I'll dig deeper in the near future.

Thanks.

No probs.

The first pic shows under the drivers seat (UK car, premium hi-fi). The second pic shows the grey plugs more closely - its those 2 I pull out and reseat.
