They'll be like rocking horse sh1t!

A second hand unit sold on ebay a while ago for nearly £60, they said it was working when removed.
Good luck to the buyer, anyone on here get it?

I've just shelled out £3800 for an almost new alarm, but rather fortuitously it came with a free XC70 attached to it, mint and low miles.... which is nice...

Yeah there are a lot of used ones for around £60 on ebay but they're all from america, + postage and import taxes.

So half the price of a new one, and in " good working order, " arrives a month later probably not working.

Buy from UK sellers who offer refunds. Two of the duff ones I bought via eBay were refunded and the sellers didn't want the old ones back so I ended up with some spares left over (now passed on to someone else who hopefully can make use of them). I think I paid no more than £25 each.

Hi Guys,
Im having the same problem with my V50 2006. The message displays once a week, if that. But i read somewhere that the alarm will drain the main car battery??

Ive swapped the main battery, looked like the original, but the car still needed to be jumped.

It said here that the fuse is 38, but is it that for the V50?

Thanks

Ade

Fuse 38 is for the S60/V70, I don't know about the V50 - if you ask in the V50 section you'll probably get some advice pointing you in the right direction.

Open the fuse box and there'll be a guide or open your owner's manual.
Both are faster than waiting for an answer on here.

Default Changed the Siren Battery. What next?

I have removed the siren. Opened it up . The PCB was spotless. I have changed the NiMh battery and put it all back. The alarm sets just fine and siren works perfectly but I still have the "Alarm System Service Required" message coming on. What do I have to do now to get rid of this annoying warning???
