Default Petrol cap bungee

I bought a box of Christmas presents from PFV for the car; one being the fuel cap bungee.
Can some kind soul tell me where it attaches to the body ?
My mounting for the inlet pipe has been 'modified' by the factory when they installed the gas filler ( which is now removed ) and I believe screws are replacing rivets and rivets may be replacing screws in some situations.
While I'm in there - I have fitted , a small switch which tells if the flap is open; I can't start the car if the flap is open, I can not open the flap if the car is running. Is this standard, or has this been added for the Bi fuel model as a saftey?
I have been caught out a couple of times with no crank/ start thinking something dramatic has failed, when the flap is just not fully home. I could bridge the switch out, but if it is standard - it's there for a reason and probably shouldn't be removed from circuit.

Thanks in advance and wishing all a merry Christmas and happy safe holidays!

Hi stumo

I keep meaning to send you a photo but forget.

I am 99% sure the strap hooks onto something on the metalwork inside the flap.

Thanks for your reply Steve, when you get around to it a photo would be great !

There are few of these around these parts , and none with bungees.
