Well! Some quite shocking ones here...

Those having had their DPF`s removed are going to have a problem...as will those with retro fit HID`s!

That's good news! Those rules are there for a very good reason...

Would be good if "(no indicators fitted)- fail " was added too.

Perhaps they are now allowed to remove the cap to check it. It is the only way I can think they could check it.

As even brake fluid manufactures recommend changing it every 2 years where's the problem if the car is maintained ?

Volvo service and they sample the fluid in the reservoir to determine moisture content. What's to stop anyone sucking the reservoir dry with a turkey baster and filling it with fresh, will pass the test but no garentee as to the fluid in the system.
It's why I change mine myself, I know it's done and don't care where you take your sample from.

Paul.

Just checked and the new rules allow the tester to remove the cap to check

Also new rules for reversing lights required on cars after 2009 and DRL/ front fogs must work on newer cars.

#EDIT# It states that in the o/p but how many 2018 cars will need an MOT?

Unless the car is pre 1936 or doesn't have lights then it must have indicators, no indicators = fail.
or were you attempting humour aimed at people who drive German cars?
