C70 upgrade 1997

Hello, I am looking at a c70, and I would like to know which is the best engine to modify, the 2.3, the 2.4, and what is its name, I have seen one of the 97 b5234t3, how is it?

All the power upgrades I've seen have chosen the 2.3, I believe these have thicker cylinder liners. The 2.4 is B5244 T7 is turbo form but it's a low pressure turbo.

C70 2.3 T.5 engines are either B5234T3 139bhp or B5234T9 245bhp, VIDA says my T5 has the B5234T8 260bhp as fitted to AWD cars but it has the T9 so C70 in some markets may have had the T8 fitted. These engines have been boosted to over 700bhp but I think that sort of output would require a gearbox and clutch upgrade.

If you are looking at an automatic, these have a limiter to prevent damage to the torque converter so any possible power increase would probably be insignificant.

Are you sure about that BHP for the B5234T3?

I thought it was more than that? (237 bhp?)
