I could fit this part because I configured the car to accept the foreign unit through the d5t5 dashboard.

So - all that I'm waiting for is the registration documentation.

I've spent an extra £320 on top of the breakdown that I put on the thread at the beginning - this includes the SatNav unit, some extra software I didn't realise that I needed and the time of a guy call Matt (https://vvde.info/wp/) who's been helping me with the d5t5 software and region change.

It's been a great experience, and I hope that I've shed some light on the process and provided some good contacts for anyone wanting to go down the same route.
Do you think with shipping, tax, conversion etc, that it's worked out cheaper than buying one here, or is it about condition ?

Hi - yes, it's worked out cheaper.

I'm also not sure whether any were sold/bought in the UK after 2013?

The condition is also a major factor, the optional extras and mileage too.

Out of interest, why would you change the tyres? Also, with regards to underseal - I checked with Volvo and they stated that vehicles for the Japanese market have the same underseal spec as European ones. Not sure if this has been different at any point in the past.
I can confirm that Volvo put all cars through the same anti corrosion process no matter the destination market.

I obtained a full factory spec for my Japanese 2009 V70 2.5T and that was fitted with Michelin at the factory. I have never liked them. Noisy and not good grip. I always use Continental and have fitted the PremiumContact 7's.

The 2009 Japanese V70 2.5T I bought earlier this month had been converted to MPH. I don't know how the dealer did it but it seems OK.

Hi Phil. Would you mind letting me know what the cost at auction was in pounds. I’ve had two awful interactions with imported car dealers and so maybe DIY is the way to go! If you want to do it privately with me direct here is my mob no 07492040448
