Default 740 stretch limo

There is a 740 stretch limo for auction on Ebay.

Were it not in Ireland, I could be tempted by this. It must be a fairly unusual vehicle, especially as it is a factory built version. How much would it cost to bring it back from Ireland?

I've also used Shiply quite a few times. I suspect with the cost of fuel etc it will be quite expensive for that kind of distance

Just go for a long weekend in Belfast and drive it back

I reckon Marks idea is the best, train from where you are to Southampton-Eastleight airport (Eastleight rail station is within spitting distance of the airport, could walk it in 20-25 minutes) then fly to Belfast for as little as £19 according to this website :

https://www.esky.co.uk/flights/ci/bf...20%7CBFS-26851

Get the seller to pick you up then drive it back like Mark suggests - ferry might sting you a bit as it's going to be 18-19ft long so will incur a penalty on length i'd guess but you'd have a nice drive back from the north-west to the sunny south coast.

If you can train it to Southampton Parkway station the airport is about 20 yards away. I used to do the journey from there to Glasgow Airport every other weekend for a few years

On the downside 500+ miles in an ancient 740 stretch limo will probably set you back about £180 + in petrol at todays prices

It looks as if these may not be as rare as I though. By the time one has included tax, insurance, travelling, petrol and ferry costs, it will probably cost an extra grand on the purchase price. It's an auction, so it could go for in excess of £1,500. £2,500 may well be it's current value, but you guys would have a better idea of this than me.

I think I'm going to pass on this, and stick with my salvaged 740SE saloon. I'm enjoying driving that, and it fits into a supermarket parking space.
