940 estate electrical issue.
Hi Guys, I’m new to this site and I’m soon to be a Volvo 940 estate owner. It’s got 71k miles but has just developed an issue where the wipers, indicators and air bag warning light come on automatically but intermittently. Car hasn’t been driven for a while because roof lockdown...Any ideas? Cheers guys.

Without some basic testing one can do little more than guess but given the car has been standing for a while my guesses would be:
Battery Water ingress Mice |

Thank you! It does have some a bit of rubber seal missing from the drivers side lower part of the windscreen. I’m lead to believe this has been missing for years.

It's a bonded screen on the 7/9xx range, it sounds as if there's likely a bad earth on the MEP behind the drivers kickpanel.
Could also be moisture/condensation through lack of use although there is no real connection between the wipers, indicators and SRS warning module. It sounds as if half the symptoms are missing to be honest, better to wait until you get the car and see if it really is a problem or if it clears with use.

Could that not be a clock spring issue? Wipers, indicators and airbag all going through the steering wheel type thing? Not familiar with how that is wired myself but just a thought

I can see how you're thinking but the clock spring for the airbag is above the column stalk switches (indicators and wipers) and they don't use the spring.

Sorry guys, it isn’t indicators. It’s Wipers, Air bag light and Radio?!
