Default 940 clutch/flywheel identification

Hello I am looking to try and identify what clutch and flywheel set up my 940 is using. Looking at removing the gearbox the first thing I’ve found is that the gearbox bolts themselves are a very strange size. They’ll fit an 18mm socket but for a spanner it needs to be between 17.5mm and 18mm. The problem is that there isn’t enough room to use a socket on the top bolts.

Does anybody have any experience/advice on the best way to identify the two?

The car is a late '97 b230fk with m90.

Gearbox is M90 so will be the DMF

To get to the bolts you need to use long wobble extensions with teh socket

Drop the gearbox down a little (after removing the crossmember) and use 3/8" socket with a bit of wobble in it, a UJ and all the extensions you can find.

The clutch and flywheel will be the 240mm system with dual mass flywheel, rigid friction disk and EZK ignition pattern.

When you pull it off don't be surprised if it puts up a fight to come off even after the bolts are all removed as it will probably be stuck on the two locating dowels in the block, occasionally they will pull out of the block and stay in the bellhousing.

Make sure you have removed the slave cylinder from the gearbox too, you need circlip pliers to remove it, one big circlip and it will pull out, twist it side to side if it is stuck.

Also the gear linkage needs disconnecting from the gearbox.
