  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way
  • AOL Customers: Make sure you check the 'Remember me' check box otherwise the AOL system may log you out during the session. This is a known issue with AOL.
  • AOL, Yahoo and Plus.net users. Forum owners such as us are finding that AOL, Yahoo and Plus.net are blocking a lot of email generated from forums. This may mean your registration activation and other emails will not get to you, or they may appear in your spam mailbox

Hi new to everything tecnology volvo,s and forums,my question is on my volvo v50 1.6 diesel with 400k on the clock what engine can I change with,will a ford focus fit?In fact whay engine is it??? My engine runs but is very sluggish pulling away, almost like a flat spot we used to get on old cars

sounds like its in limp mode. get the car scanned for fault codes vida is the best but other good scan tools can do it do you have any messages or lights on on the dash displays . 400k was your car a taxi?

Not a taxi just a high miler well maintained it,s not in limp mode nothing showing on scan no lights just tired I reckon engine change i,m thinking,but what engine? I,ve not seen any scrapped V50,s locally but plenty of ford focus,s
would it go in???? Thanks for the reply by the way.

try looking on sites like co part or motor hog car dismantlers im sure you could find a volvo engine be sure to match model and year to ensure that the engine is compatable with yours ford engines have different electricals plugs and connectors come to mind also try car transplants in cheshire they have a comprehensive web site
